The Turkish occupation state continues to impose strict isolation on leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison, without disclosing his health condition, which increases popular discontent in North and East Syria. 

No information has been obtained about Leader Abdullah Ocalan since March 25, 2021, until the present day.

Yahya al-Ali, from the eastern canton of Deir ez-Zor, stated that the reasons for tightening isolation on leader Abdullah Ocalan are due to his advocacy for freedom, coexistence, and peace among all groups. He noted, “This stance does not please the Turkish occupation state, as it desires the people of this region to remain ignorant.”

Al-Ali elaborated, “They view leader Abdullah Ocalan's ideology as a threat to their autocratic policies, particularly Turkey, so they intensify the isolation to prevent the spread of his ideas globally.”

He urged humanitarian and human rights organizations to take a firm stance on the matter of leader Abdullah Ocalan and emphasized, We, the people of North and East Syria, will escalate our efforts to secure the physical freedom of the leader.

 “For her part, citizen Sumaya al-Khader said: “The Turkish occupation state is trying to thwart the project of the democratic nation and autonomous administration and eliminate the gains of the people by keeping the leader in this prison and tightening the isolation on him from time to time.”

Sumaya al-Khader condemned the violations and inhumane and immoral policies practiced against Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali Prison, which violate all international human rights laws and conventions.

Sumaya al-Khader stressed the continuation of the struggle to achieve the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and denounced the silence of international forces and human rights organizations.

From the city of Tirbespiyê in al-Jazira canton, citizen Hussein Omar stated that the solution to the issues and problems of the Middle East is linked to the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Hussein Omar noted: “The whole world knows this truth. Not only is the person of Leader Abdullah Ocalan being targeted, but his ideas are being targeted, which have now spread in Kurdistan and in the world, and have turned into an approach to resolving issues, so these ideas are being targeted.”

Hussein Omar pointed out that Leader Abdullah Ocalan had led the Kurdish, Arab, Syriac, and all other peoples from persecution to freedom, and stressed that he would follow his approach to the end.

Lauren Haji, also a resident of Tirbespiyê, denounced the isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan, and added: “We, as women, we owe to our leader, because we achieved freedom thanks to the leader’s ideas.”

Lauren Haji explained that the ideas of Leader Abdullah Ocalan are the way to solve the issues and problems of the Middle East. She said, Thanks to the leader’s ideas, we continue our lives here, and as women, we will be in the fields for the leader’s physical freedom.

Citizen Basil Abbas denounced the isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan and noted that Leader Abdullah Ocalan proposed the approach of democratic confederation. He said, We are all guided by the leader's ideas and philosophy. Yes, he is in prison, but his ideas are rooted in us.

The last meeting with the leader by his lawyers, Rezan Sarıja and Newroz Uysal, was on August 7, 2019, while his last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a 5-minute phone call with his brother Muhammad Ocalan before the call was cut off.
