With the arrival of a batch of Syrian refugees in Lebanon to the areas of the Autonomous Administration, the Social Affairs and Labor Body of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, accompanied by the Social Affairs and Labor Committee of the Raqqa Civil Council, visited today the Al-Hukoumiya camp in Raqqa that hosted the returnees.

The visit, according to the visiting delegation, comes in the context of seeing the conditions of the returnees, examining their needs, and affirming their continued position in receiving Syrian refugees abroad on its territory. Last April, the Autonomous Administration announced its readiness to receive Syrian refugees in Lebanon who face racist practices by Lebanese government. During the past few days, 7 families who were deported from Lebanon arrived in the areas of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and they were hosted in Al-Hukoumiya camp in the northern countryside of Raqqa.

The visit witnessed a welcome for the returnees, seeing their conditions and listening to their needs. During which, the co-chair of the Social Affairs and Labor Body in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Farouk al-Mashi, confirmed that the doors of the Autonomous Administration areas will remain open for those wishing to return to their areas.

Al-Mashi pointed out that the Autonomous Administration has a plan to establish a camp for Syrian refugees coming from Lebanon.

"At the present time, our people coming from Lebanon will live in the Al-Hukoumiya camp temporarily, we have a plan to allocate a special camp for them, currently their basic needs are met," The co-chair of the Social Affairs and Labor Committee in the Raqqa Civil Council, Jihad Hassan told ANHA agency.

He stressed the readiness of the Administration to coordinate with the Lebanese government and other governments to secure safe access for the Syrians.
