NEWS DESK-The Algerian authorities rejected the request of the Turkish President of the State of Turkey Recep Erdogan to cancel the visa between the two countries, a diplomatic source said that Turkey has become a corridor for extremists.
The news agency quoted the French-language newspaper Le monde Independent as saying that Algeria considered the cancellation of the Turkish visa to be unseemly because of the differences of views currently existing between the two countries on many issues.
The source pointed out that the file to cancel the visa to the Turks was discussed in late January in preparation for the official visit by the Turkish president to Algeria in February, but the Algerian party concluded that the current security conditions in the regions of North Africa and the Middle East does not allow this action at the moment.
The diplomatic source explained that Algeria cannot accept the abolition of the visa on the Turks and Turkey has recently become a passage for extremists towards Syria, Iraq and Libya.
This will pose a serious threat to the security and borders of Algeria, especially from Libya, which has recently witnessed large movements of extremists and mercenaries of various nationalities, and therefore terrorists with a Turkish passport can pass through the airports of Algeria and infiltrate the country.
