Two killed in two airstrikes in southern Lebanon; Israel announces death of precision missile expert
Two Israeli aircraft conducted airstrikes against two vehicles in southern Lebanon, killing two people, as tensions on the ground continue to intensify and there are heavy overflights by warplanes and reconnaissance planes.

Two morning airstrikes by Israeli aircraft struck the towns of Ain Baal and Yater, killing two people.
In Ain Baal town in the Tyre district, an Israeli aircraft hit a civilian car, where Hussein Nazih Barji was assassinated. The Israeli army claimed responsibility for his killing and referred to him as "a central factor and professional involved in the manufacture of precision weapons for Hezbollah," in a tweet by army spokesman Avichay Adraee on the X platform.
Shortly thereafter, Lebanese media was told by Yater Mayor Khalil Korani that an Israeli drone carried out an airstrike on Yater town of the Bint Jbeil district against bulldozer driver Ali Hassan Abdul Latif Suwaidan while he was clearing away the wreckage of his home demolished from a previous bombing and was killed.
This was concurrent with intensified sorties by Israeli fighter aircraft and reconnaissance planes over the western and central regions of south Lebanon, with tensions still running high on the southern front.
