The Hengaw Human Rights Organization reported on Friday that Iranian authorities had carried out the executions of three prisoners at Zanjan Central Prison, while also confirming the execution of a woman under a “qisas” sentence at Dastgerd Central Prison in Isfahan.

According to Hengaw, the executions of 33-year-old Fateh Shafiei, 30-year-old Hassen Mahdi Pour and 51-year-old Aref Dorosti were carried out at Zanjan Central Prison on September 27, after they were convicted in separate cases related to drug offenses.

In Isfahan, Hengaw said authorities carried out the qisas sentence against 30-year-old Mahrokh (Roqiya) Mirzaei at Dastgerd Central Prison in the early hours of September 28, after she was accused of intentionally killing her husband. The organization noted that the Iranian judiciary had not officially announced the execution.

Separately, Hengaw and the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reported that death sentences had been handed down against three Kurdish citizens from Kermanshah Province; Khosrow Mohammadinia, Masoud Tushmalani and Sirwan Shabani, over their participation in the January 2026 protests.

According to the reports, Branch 23 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court handed down the sentences against the three men in a joint case on charges of “moharebeh”, along with charges related to “assembly and collusion with the intent to disrupt national security.” Human rights sources also cited additional allegations linked to what they described as “operational activities on behalf of hostile states.”

Hengaw said security forces arrested the three men in Eslamshahr, Tehran Province, on January 9 this year during the protests, and that they are currently being held at Qezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.

The sentences against them have not yet been announced as final, while Iranian judicial authorities had not, as of the publication of the human rights reports, released official details regarding the rulings.
