Tabqa Fine arts forum closes its doors
After days of intense artistic endeavors, the Fifth Fine Arts Forum concluded its activities in Tabqa Canton under the slogan "To the Rhythm of Syrian Colors." Organizers are now preparing to transfer the participants' creations to a major art exhibition to be held soon in Qamishlo.
With a high creative spirit, the curtain fell today on the activities of the Fifth Fine Arts Forum, which was hosted by Tabqa city since May 3, under the slogan "To the Rhythm of Syrian Colors."
Thirty-one male and female artists from various Syrian cities participated in the forum, presenting two sculptures and 65 paintings representing various art schools over six days. The paintings will be displayed in an upcoming art exhibition, organized by the Culture Authority of North and East Syria in the city of Qamishlo. The exhibition will feature more than 100 works from the forum and artists from several other Syrian cities.
Sarfaraz Sharif, co-chair of the Culture Authority of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, announced the conclusion of the forum in an interview with ANHA's agency. She said, "We announce the conclusion of the fifth edition of the Fine Arts Forum, which will be held in the city of Tabqa. Participating artists will visit the city's archaeological sites. The forum resulted in 65 paintings and two sculptures, with artists from various Syrian regions participating. These works reflect the Syrian reality during the past period, through paintings representing all art schools."
Sarfaraz explained, "Thirty-one male and female artists participated in the forum. A visual arts exhibition will be held in the upcoming period in Qamishlo. The exhibition will last for three days and will include works from the forum, in addition to the creations of other visual artists from all over Syria. The number of paintings will reach more than 100."
Sarfaraz emphasized that the goal of the forum is "artistic convergence and the sharing of experiences among visual artists. Through it, the Culture Authority aims to strengthen social cohesion among Syrians. The Authority will continue to present projects that enhance Syrian national identity and promote national unity, promote artistic dialogue among creatives, strengthen community ties, and preserve Syrian cultural heritage."
At the conclusion of the forum, the participating artists toured the archaeological sites in Tabqa, most notably the Ja'bar Castle.
