The Lilon Association for Humanitarian and Community Work, in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture in Aleppo, marked Kurdish Language Day through a cultural event held in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods of Aleppo, at the association’s center.

The event featured an introductory segment on the Kurdish language presented by Manan Jafar, in addition to artistic performances including singing and folkloric dance, with the participation of artist Rizan Baker, in the presence of a number of residents from both neighborhoods and individuals interested in cultural affairs.

Volunteers from the Lilon Association affirmed during the event their commitment to supporting the Kurdish language and working to protect and strengthen its presence in society, noting that the commemoration of this occasion comes within the framework of preserving cultural and linguistic diversity in Syria.

It is worth noting that the Lilon Association had previously organized Kurdish language courses, in addition to folkloric dance and singing classes, as part of its community and cultural activities in the city of Aleppo.
