Participants in Germany's march: freedom of leader lies in resistance
Kurdish and internationalist youth continue the long march for the physical freedom of leader Ocalan in Germany for a second day, stressing on the sidelines of the march that "the guarantee of the leader's freedom lies in resistance."
Kurdish and internationalist youth gathered yesterday in Haupt Bahnhof in Bielefeld, Germany, and began the long march, organized in the context of the global campaign demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.
During the march, a member of the revolutionary youth movement, Farhat Mardin, denounced the imposition of the regime of extermination and torture in Imrali, and said: "The international conspiracy has been going on for 25 years, first, the struggle of leader Apo, the Freedom Movement and our people against the conspiring forces prevented the achievement of their goals," and explained that "because the leader's struggle was an obstacle to the projects of America, Israel and England in the Middle East, the international conspiracy was implemented."
In turn, Jiyan Karmanshah, on behalf of the Kurdish Young Women's Movement (TEKOJIN), pointed out that the leader's physical freedom will be achieved through resistance.
The European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) and the European Union are partners in crime through their silence, Karmanshah said: "There has been no information about the leader and he lives under a system of torture and extermination, and this means a violation of all human rights.
Participants ended the long march on the first day in Duisburg, Germany.
Participants will meet today at Ham train station at 08:00. After walking 10 kilometers to the city center, the activists will conclude the second day in front of the Ham train station, and in the evening they will head to the Kurdish Democratic Community Center in Dortmund and gather together for a celebration at night, according to the march's schedule.
