The two sides discussed the executive instructions for the integration process, including an assessment of the human resources at the universities and colleges concerned, in preparation for incorporating them into the Ministry of Higher Education’s staff based on the qualifications and degrees held by employees, including administrative staff.

Al-Halabi said that several colleges affiliated with Rojava and Kobani universities currently fall under Al-Furat University and Aleppo University. He explained that the ministry is working to address the existing administrative and educational conditions at these institutions as part of a plan to improve higher education and strengthen its presence in the region.

He added that there is a proposal to establish a university in Hasakah, which requires approval from the People’s Assembly, in addition to plans to establish new universities in Hasakah and Raqqa. He noted that the integration process and the regulation of the status of institutions and students would help address most of the existing administrative problems.

Ilham Ahmed, the member of the People’s Assembly, and the minister’s deputies attended the meeting.
