Israeli Foreign Minister: Erdogan following in Saddam Hussein footsteps
The Israeli foreign minister responded to Erdogan's remarks and said: "Erdogan is following in the footsteps of Saddam Hussein."
Erdogan said on Sunday that Turkey could intervene Israel as it previously entered Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh, at a meeting of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) in his hometown of Rize.
Erdogan claimed in a speech: "There is no reason why we can't do this. We have to be strong so that we can take these steps."
Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz responded, who posted on the X platform a composite image of Erdogan and former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. "Erdogan is following in Saddam Hussein's footsteps and threatening to attack Israel. He just has to remember what happened there and how it ended."
