Erdogan at top list of "terrorism" supporters issued by Damascus government

A newspaper obtained a list issued by the Damascus government's Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Authority revealed that Recep Tayyip Erdogan was placed at the head of the defendants in Syria.

Al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper obtained a new list issued by the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Authority of the Damascus government, which is a decision issued by the Chairman of the Committee for Freezing the Funds of Persons and Entities, bearing Resolution No. 3 dated 11 July 2024. It is an update to the list of persons and entities accused of money laundering and "supporting domestic terrorism."

The list included politicians, political parties and international entities, as well as Arab and foreign clerics and members of parliament. After the last update, the number of individuals involved in the financing of terrorism and money laundering reached 597 people and the number of entities 105 according to the list, but in fact it reached 127 organizations, institutions and associations, as it put all Turkish associations classified as supporting "terrorism" in one field, which is 24 organizations.

The list included, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and 2 former prime ministers, Ahmet Dawdoglu, former Turkish Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and Saad Hariri, former head of the Lebanese government and head of the Future Movement. The list also included the head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, and the head of the Lebanese Forces party, Samir Geagea.

The names of the personalities varied to include Arab and foreign nationalities, belonging to Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Iraq, Mauritania, Libya, Palestine, Sudan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Senegal, Turkey, Eritrea, Nigeria, France, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Kenya, Nepal, Benin, Albania, Bosnia, Spain, Germany and America
