Today, lawyers from the Al-Asr Human Rights Office, Susan Akiba, Ibrahim Bilmez, Cengiz Yurkli and Imran Emekji, submitted a new request to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Imralı Prison Directorate to meet with their clients: leader Abdullah Ocalan, Omar Khairy Kunar, Hamili Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş, who have been subjected to severe isolation by Turkey for over three years.

To arrange these meetings, the Al-Asr Human Rights Office submits two requests each week to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Imralı Prison Directorate. Additionally, the detainees' families also submit two requests per week, totaling 16 requests each month, without receiving any response, indicating a refusal to allow the meetings.

It is noted that the last meeting with leader Abdullah Ocalan by his lawyers, Rezan Sariç and Newroz Uysal, took place on August 7, 2019. The last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a five-minute phone call with his brother, Mohammed Ocalan, after which the call was cut off.
