Explosion occurred east of Qamishlo in Jazera Canton
An explosion occurred in the eastern side of the city of Qamishlo in NE Syria, resulting from the targeting of a car inside the wall of a prison for detainees.
A short while ago, a strong explosion was heard from the eastern side of the city of Qamishlo, and ANHA correspondent from the site of the event reported that it was caused by targeting a car inside the wall of a prison for detainees in the Umm al-Fursan neighborhood.
ANHA correspondent was unable to determine the nature and method of targeting, amidst the Internal Security Forces imposing a security cordon around the targeted prison.
Umm al-Fursan Prison, as it is known in the region, is intended for detainees pending investigation by the Internal Security Forces.
