HPG announces killing of 56 Turkish occupation soldiers, injury of 43 others

The Media Center of the HPG issued a statement revealing the outcome of the battles for the month of August, and the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state against the Medya defense areas and S. Kurdistan.

The statement read:

"Gêrîla completed in the footsteps of Commander Agid (Mahsoum Korkmaz) 40 years of its epic struggle and entered its 41st year of struggle. it defended the Kurdish people for 40 years without interruption within the framework of legitimate defense, fought armed struggle, withstood all attacks, concepts of liquidation and plans of extermination and kept the hope of our oppressed people for victory alive for 40 years, which is a victory in itself. Kurdistan Freedom Gêrîla, which has received a lesson from every resistance of the Kurdish people, made changes according to the circumstances, and also delved into the model and ideology of the Apoist , became proficient in tactics, and Gêrîla became a source of inspiration and guidance not only for the Kurdish people, but for all oppressed peoples.

Kurdistan Freedom Gêrîla welcomed the 41st anniversary of the Revival Day on August 15 with all greatness, and Gêrîla, which entered its forty-one year of struggle, continued its resistance without interruption in N. Kurdistan and the legitimate defense areas with determination and commando spirit. The epic resistance of our immortal commando leader Perwar Dersım, Siran Gomak in the Agırî Mountains, proved to friends and enemies that the truth of the free Kurdish woman on the path of Agıd, Beritan and Zelan is unbeatable, how much the unyielding resistance of our comrades Aylem Sterk-Maryam Onur, Suzdar Evin-Batul Ayden and Armanj Devrem-Hajir Tekin in the Kato Marinos region showed the same truth in many other areas.

Those comrades who were martyred in the month of August showed all women the vanguard and heroism of the free Kurdish woman in the person of the Free Women's Units, and instilled the spirit of freedom in the heart of our people and all women, as our comrades Alan Malzker, Orhan Binkul, Rosida Merdin, Sara Tohleldan, Sama Joya Golik, Tejda Jiyan and the comrades who were martyred on various dates but announced in August, their names in the history of our struggle as outstanding examples of the commanders of the Gêrîla, so we recall with respect and reverence our martyred comrades who waked on the path of Commander Agid and they fought heroically and were martyred, and we pledge once again that we will follow in the footsteps of the martyrs and we will definitely achieve their goals.

In addition to the countless combing campaigns and shelling in N, Kurdistan, the Turkish occupation army committed war crimes by bombing legitimate defense areas with prohibited explosives 90 times, as our forces defeated the occupation attacks that relied on technology by raising the spirit of the Apoist commando and delving into the tactics, operations and methods of Gêrîla warfare and provided a response by carrying out many operations.

The Gêrîla forces showed a very important military performance in August, and dealt strong blows to the Turkish occupation army by carrying out effective air and ground operations, and the units of the martyr Doghan Zinar and the martyr Axin Moush carried out 19 air operations in August. Our forces also carried out 133 tactically diverse ground operations, a total of 152 in August. The Turkish occupation army and the special war media concealed the losses incurred as a result of these operations carried out by our forces, which were documented by pictures and video, as the operations of our air and ground forces resulted in the death of 56 occupiers, including 3 high-ranking officers, and the injury of 43 occupiers.
