Dozens of  As-Suwayda residents gathered today in al-Karama Square in the city center to participate in a new demonstration under the slogan "Freedom for all prisoners of conscience", where the demonstrators renewed their demands for the immediate release of all detainees and the political transfer of power in Syria in accordance with UN Resolution 2,254.

The protesters raised banners with the phrases "Sanctify freedom so that the tyrants of the earth do not rule you", "We will continue", "The people want to build their country", "No to shedding more Syrian blood", "Tyrants are more dangerous than invaders", and "No to carrying loose weapons".

Despite the Damascus government's continued attempts to suppress voices demanding rights through daily protests, the movement has continued uninterrupted.
