Imrali detainees’ brothers submit new request to meet them

The brother of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the brothers of other detainees in Imrali prison submitted a new request to the Turkish authorities to meet with them.

Today, the brother of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, Muhammad Ocalan, through his client Mazloum Deng, the brother of the detainee Omar Hayri Kunar, Ali Kunar, the brother of Hamili Yildirim, Polat Yildirim, and the sister of Weysi Aktaş, Meliha Aktaş, submitted a new request to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Prison Directorate in Imrali to meet them.

In order to meet with them, Al-Asr Lawyers submit 2 requests every week to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate. Their families also submit two requests every week, for a total of 16 requests every month, without receiving any response.

It is noteworthy that the last meeting with the leader by his lawyers, Rezan Sarija and Newroz Uysal, was on August 7, 2019, while his last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a phone call with his brother Muhammad Ocalan for 5 minutes, then the call was cut off.
