3 Damascus forces killed by ISIS in Hama
A sudden attack carried out by ISIS mercenary cells on members of the Damascus Government forces resulted in the death of three of the latter in the Athriya area of rural Hama.
Three members of the Damascus Government forces were killed following a surprise attack by ISIS mercenary cells that targeted them while they were in the Athriya area of rural Hama. Armed clashes erupted between the two sides before the ISIS mercenaries withdrew into the depths of the Syrian desert.
It is worth noting that ISIS mercenary cells have recently intensified their operations against the positions of Damascus Government forces and their allied groups in the Syrian desert.
According to documentation by the Syrian Observatory, the death toll from military attacks in the Syrian desert has reached 511 since the beginning of 2024. This includes 54 civilians, including a child, 428 members of the Damascus Government forces and their allied groups, and 29 Turkish occupation mercenaries killed in 184 ISIS attacks across various areas of the desert, involving ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions in the deserts of Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Homs.
