The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries escalated their attacks on various areas of the countryside of Manbij canton in the north-eastern region of Syria during the past month of August, in addition to several infiltration attempts by the mercenaries into the countryside of the canton.

The Manbij Military Council forces thwarted 7 infiltration attempts by mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state during the month of August, resulting in the death of 7 mercenaries and the injury of 22 others.

The commander of the Manbij Military Council, Ibrahim Hamdan, spoke to ANHA's agency about the recent attacks on the region and their developments. He noted that the attacks have escalated in conjunction with the assaults by the Damascus government forces and what is known as the "National Defense" on the countryside of Deir ez-Zor canton.

Ibrahim Hamdan said: "The mercenaries of what is known as the Euphrates Shield, affiliated with the Turkish occupying state, attempted to infiltrate our areas and villages where our forces are present in the northern and western countryside of Manbij." "But the vigilance of our fighters prevented them from reaching their goals of occupying the villages in the northern and western countryside."

The commander of the Manbij Military Council confirmed that the occupation and its mercenaries have not achieved their goals despite the intensity of the attacks and the use of all types of weapons. He stated, "Despite this intensity, they have not been able to breach the first line of defense of our forces even once."

Ibrahim explained that their forces possess military expertise capable of countering any attacks, stating: "The experience of our forces and the many preventive measures we have taken have played a significant role in enhancing our defensive capabilities, which is the primary reason for repelling the attacks of the occupation and its mercenaries."

Ibrahim Hamdan revealed several military operations carried out by their forces in response to those infiltration attempts, resulting in the deaths of a number of mercenaries, including leaders, and the destruction of two armored vehicles belonging to the mercenaries.

The commander of the Manbij Military Council, Ibrahim Hamdan, confirmed the readiness of the fighters from the Manbij Military Council, the Kurdish Front forces, and the al-Bab Military Council deployed in the area to deter any attacks or infiltration attempts. He noted that the forces have become experienced and possess advanced military and tactical capabilities gained over the past eight years since the liberation of Manbij.

The commander of the Manbij Military Council stated: "Our forces along the front lines are ready to confront even if the war is open. The defensive infrastructure is prepared and helps us to resist, and we have advanced weaponry and highly skilled fighters. We are all confident in our forces' ability to repel any large-scale and open attacks carried out by the occupation and its mercenaries, regardless of their nature."
