The Damascus government agency (SANA) reported that the convoy of the Daraa Governor, the Secretary of the Ba'ath Party branch, and the accompanying delegation was attacked.
According to the agency, the attack involved a roadside bomb planted by armed individuals while the convoy was returning from a work tour in the eastern countryside of Daraa.
The agency did not provide further details on the results of the attack.
