The intellectuals of al-Jazira canton stressed that the current struggle to achieve the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is not enough, and they stated: "We, as the peoples of the region, are required to increase the pace of the struggle for the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan"
The Turkish occupation state is practicing a policy of torture and genocide against Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison, and has been preventing his lawyers and family from meeting him since March 25, 2021, and angry reactions against these practices appear daily, as the participants in the Peace and Democracy Conference held in the German capital, Berlin, on September 1, recently expressed their close connection to Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and stressed the need to wage a sensitive struggle to achieve his physical freedom. the policies pursued by Turkey in Imrali were also highlighted.
In North and East Syria, activities and events are organized periodically to denounce the isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, starting with the people organizing reading sessions for Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s pleadings, which are written in 5 volumes, and ending with organizing marches and dialogue seminars on Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s theses.
Writer Bradost Mitani, a resident of the city of Girkê Legê in al-Jazira canton, pointed out that what the components of the region offer is in fact insufficient compared to what Leader Abdullah Ocalan has offered, and said: “Because the leader is a thinker and philosopher who struggled for all components of the region without discrimination, and despite his arrest and difficult detention conditions, he continues to offer scientific ideas to solve the problems of the region.”
Bradost Mitani stressed that all segments of society, including intellectuals, writers, workers and free people, are required to make more efforts to convey the voice to the world by organizing larger events. The media is also required to work more effectively to convey the leader’s cause to the entire world. Adnan Berko, a member of the Union of Intellectuals of al-Jazira canton, condemned the isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said: "The leader presented ideas and philosophy to the peoples of the region."
He expressed his dissatisfaction with the silence of international and human rights organizations, describing it as a stigma on the forehead, and said: "We, as the peoples of the region, are required to increase the pace of the struggle for the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan. We organize ourselves on a daily basis for the physical freedom of the leader."
Ghalia Salmo, a citizen from the city of Girkê Legê, confirmed that the components of the region, including Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs, are required to escalate the struggle more because the Turkish occupation is still continuing its policy of conspiring against the peoples of the region, and said: "By achieving the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, we can liberate our society."
For his part, citizen Fuad Saadi noted that the solution to the Kurdish issue and the problems existing in the region lies in achieving the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said: "We must do everything necessary for the physical freedom of the leader, and be up to the thought and philosophy of the leader."
