Fawzia Abdi: Malicious scheme endangers thousands of IDPs those who left their homes

The Turkish occupation state is exploiting the Syrian refugee file to achieve its ambitions in Syrian lands and achieve political gains in its favor at the expense of the Syrians and the Syrian geography, benefiting from the support it receives from regional and international countries through its organizations, such as in “Afrin, Serêkaniyê , Girê Spi, Jarabulus, Azaz, and Al-Bab.”

The co-chair of the Legislative Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Euphrates Region, Fawzia Abdi, explained that: “What the Turkish state is doing in terms of building settlements in the occupied areas and settling the families of mercenaries who left their homes in several areas of the Syrian geography, in the homes of the Kurds, is a systematic and deliberate process, and if the situation continues like this, we will see in the days that the occupying state officially announces the annexation of these areas to it.”

A dangerous Turkish plan threatens the lives of thousands who have been displaced from their lands

Fawzia Abdi explained: “We are now facing a dangerous Turkish plan that threatens the lives of thousands of people who have been displaced from their lands. What we are witnessing today comes in the context of Turkey’s ambitions to revive the Mîsâk-ı Millî. Since the beginning of the crisis, Turkey has been exploiting the Syrians under the name of its intervention in the crisis to protect the Syrians, but today’s reality has exposed its truth.”

Girê Spi/Tal Abyad district in the Euphrates region, which has been occupied by Turkey since October 2019, is witnessing continuous crimes committed by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries against the remaining people of the district, their culture and nature, and the forcible resettlement of those deported from Turkish lands, including in the homes of those who emigrated during the attack, ANHA's agency documented the resettlement of 1,378 people since the beginning of August alone.

Since the date of the Turkish authorities’ announcement of Turkey’s project to resettle refugees in the occupied territories, at the beginning of April last year, more than 25,000 people have been resettled, including families of ISIS mercenaries, families of its mercenaries, and Syrian refugees.

Fawzia pointed out that the Turkish state is completing its project to eliminate the culture of the occupied regions, which began with targeting the cultural and historical monuments of the people of NE, Syria through its attacks and mercenaries, and by settling strangers in the areas it occupies.

According to information obtained by ANHA's agency, the percentage of forcibly displaced people from the occupied Serêkaniyê region also reached 85%, while the number of Kurds remaining in the city reached about 50 people, most of whom are elderly, while the number of Christians is 7, and as for the Yazidis, they no longer exist. There, where they were distributed among 16 villages, amid the complete displacement of the Chechens and the rest of the components within that region.

Criticizing the international human rights and humanitarian forces and organizations for their silence regarding the demographic change taking place in the occupied Syrian regions through the exploitation of Syrian refugees, Fawzia Abdi warned the Syrians about the Turkish policy: “We do not count on anyone, but we count on ourselves, and the Syrians should think about how to settle in the land of others.” and away from what Turkey seeks through them.
