Jabour tribe: SDF represents us; decries any attempt to destabilize NE, Syria

The head of the Arab Jabour Tribe Council explained that external parties are trying to spread discord and drag the region into an internal conflict, stressing that they stand by the Syrian Democratic Forces in any movement they take, and consider any attack on the SDF an attack on the clans and tribes of NE, Syria in general.

The head of the Jabour Tribal Council, Fawaz Al-Zawbaa, explained to ANHA's agency that: “What is happening in Deir ez-Zor is a military issue par excellence, and the SDF leadership has a military vision and has its own powers in what it does. Yes, we are with the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the events that are taking place have no concern for the tribes and clans. The Syrian Democratic Forces It operates in accordance with its laws and internal regulations.”

On August 27, the Syrian Democratic Forces launched a “Security Enhancement” operation on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River in Deir ez-Zor, to pursue ISIS cells, drug dealers, and those involved in criminal operations.

Fawaz Al-Zawbaa stated that there are attempts by external and regional parties to drag NE, Syria and the Arab tribes into strife, led by Turkey. He warned against being dragged behind it.

“The SDF are our children, and everyone must know that fighting them is fighting us.”

Al-Zawbaa stressed that any attack on the SDF is considered an attack on the tribes of NE, Syria and said: “The Syrian Democratic Forces are our sons, and the sons of our regions, and we are here under their protection, so everyone must be aware that fighting the SDF is fighting us and fighting our sons.”

“Those who sold themselves to the occupation must not interfere in the affairs of our regions.”

Al-Zawbaa affirmed their rejection of what is being promoted in the media to drag the region into strife: “There is no Arab-Kurdish strife, and we do not accept these conversations. What is happening is an attempt by parties hostile to our regions to spread poison among our society.”

The head of the Jabour Tribal Council, Fawaz Al-Zawbaa, rejected the interference of the so-called tribal notables and sheikhs in Turkey in the internal affairs of NE, Syria.

Fawaz Al-Zawbaa said: “Whoever leaves the regions of NE, Syria does not represent us, he only represents himself, and has sold himself to other parties.
