Kurdish political prisoner Zeinab Jalalian sent a message asking the people in Eastern Kurdistan not to go to the elections scheduled to be held tomorrow in Iran.

Kurdish political prisoner Zeinab Jalalian asked the people to boycott the elections, saying: “Because I demanded the rights of the people, I am detained in prison, so I ask you to stay in your homes and not go to the elections tomorrow in Iran.”

Kurdish political detainee Zeinab Jalalian, who is being detained and being tortured in Yazd prison in Iran, sent a message related to the elections scheduled for tomorrow in Iran and Eastern Kurdistan.

In her message, Zeinab Jalalian called on the people of Eastern Kurdistan and other peoples in Iran to boycott the elections tomorrow.

She noted at the end of her message, “Because I demanded people’s rights, I am detained in prison, so I ask you to stay in your homes and not go to the elections tomorrow in Iran.”

Zainab Jalalian was born in 1982 in the city of Mako in Urmia Governorate, Eastern Kurdistan, on March 11, 2008, and was arrested by the Iranian state intelligence services, on charges “such as terrorism, leaving the country illegally, illegally possessing weapons, and belonging to the Kurdistan Free Life Party.”
