The two Yazidi youths, Aziza Khaled Ali (25 years old), and Tawaf Dawood Jetto (24 years old), were kidnapped when ISIS mercenaries on August 3, 2014 attacked Shengal and committed extermination against Yazidi society.

The two young women were children when ISIS kidnapped them, and they were liberated on the first of August by the Women Protection Units (YPJ).

Two days after their liberation, the two young men joined the conviction march in the city of Amoud today (August 3), on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the massacre.

Dawood Jetto from the village of Tel Ezzer in Shengal, which was kidnapped 10 years ago and captive at the hands of ISIS mercenaries, was unable to speak in her mother (Kurdish), so he spoke to ANHA's agency in Arabic.

Tawaf Jetto expressed her feeling of joining the march, saying: "I am happy because I am among my relatives, I thank the YPJ to liberate me."

Tawaf Jetto stated that 10 years have passed, in those years I have severely suffered, and she said: "This is a sad day for us, this day will not be forgotten. We wanted to bring joy to our society by participating in the march."

The Women's Protection Units announced that Aziza Khaled was cleared in the horror camp, and Tawaf Jetto was also arrested while trying to escape on the Syrian -Iraqi border, and it was found after her investigation that she was Yazidi. The Yazidi girl Khonaf, who grew up with the young woman Aziza Khaled, was also liberated.
