57 casualties in Israeli strikes on Syrian sites

The Israeli army launched raids on several sites in the vicinity of Masyaf, west of Hama, and rural Tartous on the night of (Sunday-Monday).

The Israeli airstrikes were carried out in three waves, targeting five military sites, including the Scientific Research Center in Masyaf, west of Hama, and the village of Samaka, part of the Khirbet Al-Ma’za subdistrict in rural Tartous.

Damascus government’s news agency (SANA) quoted Faisal Haider, the director of the National Hospital in Masyaf, stating that Israel targeted several locations in the vicinity of Masyaf.

Fourteen people were killed and 43 others injured in the strikes, with some of the wounded in critical condition.

Two intelligence sources said that a major military research center near Masyaf, specializing in chemical weapons production, was hit several times. The center is believed to host a team of Iranian military experts involved in weapons production.

Some air defense missiles also landed in residential areas, villages, and populated farmlands. There have been no reported casualties so far, although one missile landed in the village of Samaka in the Khirbet Al-Ma’za subdistrict of rural Tartous, and another in the Al-Majd suburb, causing material damage.
