The organizers of the global "Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan, the Solution to the Kurdish Issue" campaign, which was launched on October 10, 2023, opened the "Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan" platform within the activities of the annual periodic conference of the ruling Scottish National Party held in Scotland, and hundreds of participants visited the platform and expressed their support for the campaign.

The platform "Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan" contains books by leader Abdullah Ocalan, introductory brochures about his career, and the tight isolation imposed on him by the Turkish authorities.

The platform was visited by SNP leaders, parliamentarians and representatives of youth organizations, who confirmed that they would follow the freedom struggle of the Kurdish people closely, and that the absolute isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan worries them as much as the Kurdish people.

Among the visitors to the platform "Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan" is Bob Doris, important figure in the Scottish National Party and a member of the Glasgow Parliament, who spoke to the Firat news agency.

Bob Doris stressed that they are proud to have held meetings with Kurdish representatives, and said: "We are closely following the history of the Kurds and the Kurdish people who are fighting for peace and democracy, I know as someone who visited S. Kurdistan that the Kurdish people face serious problems in Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Iran."

Bob Doris also paid tribute with appreciation and respect to the struggle of the Kurdish people and the political, military and administrative powers of Rojava who fought against the mercenaries of ISIS, and said: "Rojava will be rebuilt politically, socially, economically and militarily, within the framework of the model of democratic confederation developed by leader Abdullah Ocalan, and will represent a stable society in the Middle East."

Bob Doris pointed out that the capture of leader Abdullah Ocalan 25 years ago constituted an "obstacle" to a political and peaceful solution to the Kurdish issue, and stressed the need to start a new process of dialogue and negotiation with leader Abdullah Ocalan, stressing that it will pave the way for peace. The process of dialogue and negotiation will play a key role in ensuring that the Kurdish people in the four parts of Kurdistan live in freedom, peace and democracy.

"Sociology of Freedom" pleading was delivered to Minister Gilrott

SNP spokeswoman in Europe Ellen Smeth, who visited the platform "Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan", explained that she is following the Freedom Campaign closely, and said that they are continuously strengthening their relationship with the Kurdish people.

Scottish Education Minister Jenny Gilrott and Scottish National Party MP Stuart McMillian also visited the platform, received leader Abdullah Ocalan's 'Sociology of Freedom' pleading, and expressed their support for the campaign.

Alexander Swanson, representative of Young Scottish Independence Organization, said: "As an organization supporting independence across Scotland, we were delighted to see representatives of the Kurdish people at the conference. We follow and support the historic struggle of the Kurds and the role of the Kurds in the search for democracy in the Middle East."

Several women representatives of the Scottish National Party's Socialist Group also said they were closely following and supporting the campaign. The representative said that the model of "women's liberation adopted by the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan", influenced them.

The SNP's annual regular conference, attended by Prime Minister John Swain, showed great interest in the platform "Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan".

Kurdish representatives shared information about the absolute isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan, and about the political situation of the Kurdish people.

Scots are interested in the ideas of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and held discussions at the National Party's annual regular conference on the topics of "women's freedom, ecology, radical democracy and democratic confederacy".
