Security tension in Daraa due to arrest of woman
The city of Daraa is witnessing security tension due to the arrest of a fifty-year-old woman by Damascus government forces at the Nasib border crossing with Jordan, amid a state of chaos and lawlessness in the region.
The security services of the Damascus government arrested a fifty-year-old woman in Daraa at the Nasib border crossing with Jordan, without knowing the charges against her, and took her to a security branch, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
For their part, local armed groups in Daraa mobilized and gave Damascus government forces one hour to release her, while residents formed a delegation from the Daraa tribe to demand the release of the woman, amid a state of tension and popular tension in the area.
This comes in light of the chaos and lawlessness prevailing in Daraa and in all areas under the control of the Damascus government.
