On Red Wednesday, KNK affirms support for Şengal, HPÊ
The Kurdistan National Congress( KNK) congratulated the Yazidi community on Red Wednesday, and affirmed its support for Protection Force of Êzîdxan (HPÊ) in the face of all plans and conspiracies.
KNK congratulated the Yazidi community on Red Wednesday, and said through a congratulatory telegram: “Today is Wednesday, Red Wednesday, the first Wednesday of April, it is the holiday of Kurdistan, it is the holiday of Red Wednesday for the Yazidi community, the Yazidi religion is one of the oldest religions in Kurdistan, Red Wednesday also has religious, social and historical specificity.
KNK blesses Red Wednesday for the Yazidi community, the Kurdish people and all the peoples of Kurdistan and the region.
" While we are now celebrating Red Wednesday, the attacks and threats against the Yazidi believers in Şengal, Afrin, and Serêkaniyê continue, and the situation in Şengal is not yet completely clear, as the Şengal issue is becoming more deteriorating with the passage of time due to the Turkish attacks, we stand with the people of Şengal and HPÊ and we will support them in various ways.
"The Turkish attacks are a continuation of the ISIS's and a continuation of the 74 genocide. Four years ago, an agreement was concluded between Hawler and Baghdad on the issue of Şengal without referring to the people of Şengal,that is why the representatives of the Şengal people did not accept the agreement."
" With its componentsŞengal is a region with different characteristics. Most of its residents are Yazidi Kurds, it is part of the land of Kurdistan. So it has been targeted for hundreds of years, such as ISIS's brutality that caused deep wounds for people of Şengal. Hence, the will of the Şengal people must be taken as a basis in order to protect the Yazidi community, all our forces and our people must be vigilant."
The Kurdish people, and all the peoples of Kurdistan, regardless of their beliefs, must act responsibly they must work in sincere union against the brutal occupying enemies and they must work together for a decent life in the future, in accordance with ancient values.
