Newroz fire lit in Kobani, Aleppo
Aleppo began with the families of the martyrs lighting the Newroz flame in the celebration squares, after they were postponed yesterday due to heavy rain.
Kobani
Since the morning hours, the components of the Euphrates Canton, both Kurds and Arabs, from the various villages, towns and districts have flocked in their popular costumes to the celebration squares on Mishta Nour Hill in the city of Kobani, where pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, flags of the Democratic Society Movement, and the forces of Syrian Democratic Forces, People's Protection Units, and Women's Protection Units, decorated with colorful ribbons.
Representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Kurdish and Arab political parties, and guests from Manbij, Raqqa and Manbij are participating in the celebration.
The celebration began with the lighting of the Newroz flame by the families of the martyrs, after a minute of silence.
The celebration is scheduled to include 4 speeches, on behalf of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Euphrates Canton, Kongra Star in the Euphrates Canton, the Girê Spi/Tal Abyad Council, and the Martyrs’ Families Council in the Euphrates Canton.
Aleppo
The people of the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Aleppo have been arriving since the early morning hours, from Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs, and Turkmen, young and old, members and members, representatives and actresses of political parties and civil institutions, and guests from outside the neighborhoods, political parties, independent figures, and the poet Farhad Mardi to the Newroz celebration square in the Shaqif area.
The celebration venue was decorated with Kurdish flags and symbols, and pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and a banner reading “Freedom for leader Apo...a solution to the Kurdish issue” were also hung there.
The celebration began with a minute of silence, then the participants gathered around the place of the torch, where the mothers of the martyrs lit the torch, amidst ululations and chanting of slogans, “Nowruz Mubarak.”
The celebration continues with several speeches delivered by the member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, Muhammad Sheikho, and Fatima Al-Husseino, the director of the Relations Office of the Mosque, and the bands performing singing and folkloric performances.
Yesterday, March 21, the components of the Euphrates Canton in the city of Kobani, the Afrin District, Shahba, and the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods were scheduled to celebrate Newroz, but heavy rains prevented that, which led to its postponement in these areas until today, while no date has been set for the celebration of Afrin and Shahba.
