Under the slogan "With the spirit of Imrali resistance, we will thwart the October 9 conspiracy and defeat betrayal," hundreds marched in a popular demonstration to demand the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan and condemn the isolation imposed on him.

The march was organized as part of the global campaign "Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan, a Solution to the Kurdish Issue," which began from 74 centers around the world in October last year, calling for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Starting from Freedom Square in Dêrik city, the march protested against the isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan and demanded his freedom. Amid chants for his physical freedom, the march proceeded through the main streets of the city and stopped in front of the Martyrs' Families Council.

After observing a minute of silence, Ayhan Murad, the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party Council in Dêrik, delivered a speech stating: "We must continue our activities to demand the freedom of the leader because we are the proponents of the democratic nation project founded on the ideology and philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan. Therefore, we must always raise the banner of victory to achieve freedom for our people and for leader Abdullah Ocalan."

Youssef Al-Muhawis, member of the Tal Koçar City Council, emphasized: "The physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, the resolution of the Kurdish issue, and the establishment of peace and stability in the region are fundamental conditions for peaceful coexistence in the Middle East."

He called for "the immediate release of leader Abdullah Ocalan to achieve peace in the Middle East."

The march concluded with chants declaring "No life without the leader.”
