On the 25th of this December, at around 19:00, the Turkish occupation state bombed the only center for manufacturing medical oxygen and the dialysis center in the city of Qamishlo, both of centers serve more than two and a half million people.

There are two dialysis centers in Al-Jazera Province: One of them is located in the Alaya neighborhood in the city of Qamishlo, and was opened in 2021.

It contains 6 dialysis machines and employs a medical staff of 24 individuals. The center treats 70 permanent patients and receives many other patients, but it has completely gone out of service due to the Turkish occupation state attacks.

The oxygen center is located in the courtyard of the dialysis center. It was opened two months ago and is considered the only oxygen center in the region. It was responsible for filling and distributing oxygen cylinders to all hospitals and health centers in the region, as 8 health employees worked on filling 250 oxygen cylinders daily.

The massive damage to the two centers can be seen, as the scenes also show the complete collapse of the oxygen and dialysis centers and the damage to all oxygen cylinders, equipment and medical devices.

70 patients at risk

In a statement to ANHA agency the administrator at the dialysis center, Rafi Abbas, said: “Our center remains open until 22:00, but because of the attacks and the flight of planes over the city, we closed it half an hour before it was bombed, it is good that there were no one of our colleagues at the center, the oxygen center is considered the most damaged but the dialysis center also suffered material damage, and this is a very big problem for patients, as the center receives 70 permanent patients from Al-Darbasiyah, Amuda, Tel Hamis and Tirbespiye, including those who undergo dialysis sessions twice or three times a week. These two centers were deliberately targeted and intentionally put out of service.”
