The Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem revealed in an interview with RT T.V the meetings held previously between Syrian and Turkish delegations, describing them as not beneficial, noting the need to think about their usefulness in light of the Turkish occupation of the Syrian lands.
Al-Muallem stressed that there was "no link" between his visit to Russia and the military operations on the ground, adding that these operations were part of the Syrian stance, which was the liberation of every inch of the country's territory.
Speaking about the Sochi Agreement, al-Muallem noted that it had failed in northwestern Syria because Ankara had not fulfilled its commitments, stressing that the option there was purely military.
