Dutch politician calls for Turkey's expulsion from NATO
Right-wing Dutch politician Geert Wilders has called for Turkey's expulsion from NATO.
He wrote on platform X: "Islamofascist Erdogan threatens to invade Israel. This man is completely insane... Turkey must be expelled from NATO."
Wilders made this statement in response to Erdogan's remarks.
Reactions followed Turkey's threats against Israel, with Erdogan stating:
"Turkey could enter Israel just as it previously entered Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh." In response, Israel said that Erdogan is following in the footsteps of Saddam Hussein and threatening to attack Israel, adding, "He should only remember what happened there and how it ended." The Turkish Foreign Ministry responded by stating that Netanyahu's end will be similar to that of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
