The crimes of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against the people of the North and East Syria did not stop at bombing, killing, cutting off water, committing crimes, and destroying property, but rather affected their livelihood and sources of livelihood, as they began burning crops in the border areas and the lines of contact.

In this context, Sheikh Yahya Mahmoud, a member of the Religious Affairs Foundation of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Raqqa Canton, said: “Every year, the Turkish occupation resorts to using the same brutal methods, which indicate its barbarism and tyranny, and assigns mercenaries to burn agricultural crops in North and East Syria.”

He added: "The Turkish occupation is trying to displace the people of the region by targeting their sources of livelihood."

He stressed, "Erdogan claims Islam, and he is innocent of it. He takes only the name from Islam, and pretends to be sad for the people of Gaza, and what he is committing against us is the most horrific."

He pointed out that "the Turkish occupation cuts off water to the city of Hasakah, cuts down trees in Afrin, and destroys homes and property, and this is not accepted by any law or law. The fires are a continuation of the inhumane crimes it commits against us."

He stressed, "From this standpoint, we say that defending the land is a religious duty, before it is a national duty, and everyone must use various means to defend their property and crops."
