A number of civil society organizations and media issued separate statements condemning the targeting of journalists by the Turkish occupation state.

The Free Media Union indicated that "these treacherous attacks against journalists show the failure and weakness of the Turkish state and its government. At the same time, they show their fear of the free media and free journalists who have become shields in the face of its policies and constantly expose their plots to society."

It also condemned "the inhumane attack by the Turkish state", and offered his condolences to the families of the two female journalists who were martyred in the Sulaymaniyah attack.

It called on international institutions and organizations to take a firm stance against the Turkish state, considering that their silence means their cooperation with the killers.

While the Syrian Women's Council condemned "the brutal attacks and assaults committed by the Turkish occupation state against women from time to time, which recently targeted the female journalists "

The Women's Press Freedom organization also condemned what it described as "the cowardly act of violence against these journalists who defended the truth and freedom of the press."

The organization called on "the Turkish army to stop its brutal targeting of journalists in the Kurdistan Region, and we demand justice and swift accountability."

A statement issued by the Zenobia Women's Gathering said, "We emphasize that targeting media professionals and journalists and practicing killing and intimidation does not reflect the strength of the Turkish regime, but rather demonstrates its weakness, cowardice, and an attempt to silence the voice of truth.

The statement called on "international organizations and human rights institutions to condemn this crime and demand that Turkey stop its aggression against the peoples of the region and investigate the brutal crimes it is committing by targeting civilians, leaders, activists, media professionals and journalists."

It also called on "the international community to take immediate action to exert real pressure on Turkey to stop its attacks on the peoples of the region.
