Last night (Wednesday) , al-Bab area witnessed protests by mercenaries against the Turkish occupation and the opening of the Abu al-Zandeen crossing east of Aleppo, linking areas controlled by the Damascus government with those occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries.

Protesters held banners stating, "The free people's sit-in at the Abu al-Zandeen crossing is to save the revolution from the danger of normalization and the disaster of surrender. Free revolutionaries of al-Bab, you were at the forefront in confronting the criminal regime, so beware of falling into the trap of the Turkish regime by opening the crossing. To our people in al-Bab, Erdogan, whom you knew as duplicitous, will not be sincere with you regarding the opening of the crossing. His first steps are normalization and his last are surrender."

In another context, the Turkish occupation army sent large convoys of forces including armored vehicles and troop carriers to the vicinity of the crossing, coinciding with ongoing protests in the area.

Additionally, Turkish intelligence ordered the Hamzat mercenaries in al-Bab to eliminate one of the leaders of the Sham Front mercenaries in the city of Mare' north of Aleppo, "Ali al-Najjar Abu Ja'far," who appeared in a video challenging Turkmen mercenaries and the Turkish occupation regarding the opening of the crossing.

The Abu al-Zandeen crossing, located east of al-Bab in the eastern part of Aleppo city, serves as a commercial crossing and a humanitarian aid route between areas under the control of the Damascus government and Turkish occupation mercenaries. The occupied areas have been witnessing protests since the opening of the crossing on June 27 last year.
