ANHA agency published yesterday that a drone targeted a leader of the " Hurras al-Din" mercenaries named Abu Abdul Rahman Makki, on the Ehsim-Al-Bara road in the southern countryside of Idlib, those Syrian areas occupied by Turkey.

Today, at dawn, the US Central Command announced in a statement that its forces were the ones who targeted "Makki", and said about him, "Makki was member of the Hurras al-Din Shura Council and a prominent leader responsible for overseeing terrorist operations in Syria."

"Hurras al-Din is linked to al-Qaeda, based Syria, and al-Qaeda shares its global aspirations to launch attacks against U.S. and Western interests," the statement said.

This latest targeting operation is part of a series of operations that preceded it in targeting first-line leaders of ISIS and al-Qaeda mercenaries in the Syrian areas occupied by Turkey.

Among them, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Abu Ibrahim al-Qurashi, and Abu Hussein al-Qurashi were killed in international coalition raids in coordination with the Syrian Democratic Forces in the areas occupied by Turkey in Northern Syria near the Turkish border.
