The Turkish state did not accept defeat of SIS, So it opened its borders to mercenaries to commit Perseus massacre at the beginning of the most violent era in the war of extermination waged by the Turkish state against the Kurds, following the peace process.

On July 20, 2015, 300 members of the Union of Socialist Youth Associations organized an event entitled "Together we defended Kobani, together we will rebuild it", in the center of the town of Perseus in the Kurdistan state of Raha (Urfa), where they collected toys for the children of Kobani's IDPs.

At the time when the participants made a statement of public opinion; An ISIS suicide bomber carrying an explosive belt attacked the gathering, and blew himself up, killing 33 male and female activists and wounded 104 others of the Turkish and Kurdish components.

The massacre came weeks after the Kobani massacre committed by ISIS with direct Turkish support, and 6 months after the liberation of the city of Kobani, when Turkish hopes collapsed, as the defeat of ISIS.

It provoked the non-serious reactions of the Turkish government in dealing with the massacre before and after its occurrence. There are many questions, especially since the Turkish state was known as the largest supporter of ISIS militarily, financially, intelligence and logistically during the period of the latter's control of vast areas in Syria and Iraq.

In addition, the authorities in Turkey did not provide the necessary protection for the gathering amid a state of ISIS threats against the Kurds in the border town, which had a significant impact on the liberation of Kobani, even though the gathering came with the knowledge and approval of the government.

All evidence pointed to the direct involvement of the Justice and Development Party in the bombing, then the government in Turkey did not declare mourning after the massacre.

The "Justice for Perseus" platform has repeatedly demanded; Which includes a group of lawyers looking into the facts of the crime, by disclosing the results of the investigations that were imposed on them in secrecy.

The platform's report said that the perpetrator of the incident, Sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-Alaguz, who is the brother of Yunus Emre al-Alaguz, one of the perpetrators of the Ankara bombings that killed more than 100 citizens in the targeting of the Peoples' Democratic Party, was registered as a wanted terrorist.

According to the report, the intelligence services obtained information indicating that explosions had occurred in the city of Perseus and informed all officials thereof, and decisions were issued to search everyone, but the perpetrator of the accident did not face any problem in terms of security.

According to the surveillance camera recordings, he was roaming freely inside the town of Perseus, and passed in front of the Security Directorate building until he reached the Amara Cultural Center, where the explosion took place.

The report also indicated that investigations have been conducted on the incident for 18 months, under a decision to impose secrecy on the details of the case, indicating that the families and lawyers of the victims are not implementing their requests, and they demanded that the investigations be completed publicly, and stressed the need to include the victims in the investigations.

The judiciary refused to investigate everyone who held the position of President of the Republic, Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, Minister of Defense, Chief of Staff of the Army, Director of Public Security, Wali Deloc, District Commissioner of Perseus, Head of the Intelligence Service, and others, while one case was filed against the director of security of the town of Perseus only, on charges of “exploitation.” bad job.” He was sentenced to 8 months and 10 days in prison, in addition to a fine of 7,500 Turkish liras, according to the report.

Shortly after the bombing, Turkish President Erdogan ended the peace talks that existed between the Peoples' Democratic Party and the Turkish government with the aim of finding a solution to the Kurdish issue and Turkey's other problems.

During the years 2019 and 2020, the participants in the vigils were attacked by the Turkish police, where the Turkish authorities confronted with extreme cruelty all the demonstrations that came out to denounce that terrorist attack, and did not allow people to express their opinion about this case.
