Deir Ezzor women: isolation on leader Ocalan tightened as they refuse solving ME crises

The women of Deir ez-Zor pointed out that imposing isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan is a conspiracy run by global and Turkish powers, in refusal to resolve the crisis in the Middle East.

Since the arrest of the leader Abdullah Ocalan 22 years ago in Imrali Island prison, he has only called his family twice, the first was on April 27, 2020, and the call lasted only 20 minutes, and the second was on March 25 this year, and it lasted about 5 just few minutes later, the connection was lost.

Two days ago, the family and lawyers of the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, once again submitted a request to the Public Prosecution Office in the Turkish Bursa to meet with the leader, but the prosecution did not respond to the requests.

With these practices, the Turkish authorities pursue the rights of political detainees by preventing their lawyers and relatives from meeting with them.

In this regard, Zahra Al-Mulhim, co-chair of the Eastern Deir ez-Zor Council, spoke to our agency and said that the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, because he has the ability to solve the crises of the Middle East, including the Kurdish issue, which the central regimes do not want to solve, they continue to impose isolation on him.

Zahra pointed out that the isolation of the leader is a conspiracy run by world powers, led by the Turkish state, adding, "They refuse to solve the crisis because they fear the leader's thought and analysis spread among the peoples of the region."

She continued, "Despite the tightening of isolation on the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, and denying his family and lawyer visits, there is an intellectual connection between him and the people, because his ideas are from the heart of the people and serve the common interests of all components."

She added, "The Turkish occupation state believes that tightening the leader's isolation will restrict his philosophy and prevent his ideas from reaching the people." The strike campaign that political prisoners launched for the freedom of the leader raised the fear of the Turkish authorities.

At the conclusion of her speech, Zahra Al-Mulhim condemned the international silence over the arrest of the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, and demanded an international trial and intervention to find solutions and end the isolation of political detainees.

'Turkey violates the rights of detainees'

In turn, Umayya al-Mohammed, a member of the Social Affairs Committee in the Eastern Region Council in Deir ez-Zor, said: "The systematic Turkish policy that it practices against politicians and arresting them is because they carry the ideology of the leader Abdullah Ocalan as a result of their fear and concern about the establishment of a democratic project in the region."

In the context of her speech, Umayya condemned the silence of the international community and humanitarian organizations for not interfering and finding a quick solution against political detainees, and indicated that they should move immediately to lift the isolation and allow lawyers and their families to meet with him.
