Deniz's mother: I am proud of my daughter

Mother of Deniz Boyraz, who was martyred in an armed attack targeting the Peoples' Democratic Party building in Izmir, said that her daughter was committed to her struggle, and confirmed se is proud of her daughter's struggle.

Fahmieh Boyraz, the mother of Deniz Boyraz, who was martyred as a result of a crime committed by the fascist Onur kincer, spoke about struggle of her martyred daughter.

She says that her daughter lived a difficult childhood. Her father was arrested when she was still 4 years old, and also added: "After her father's release from prison, Deniz's life changed. When she was 16, she dedicated her life for her people and participated in youth, cultural and artistic events.

'Millions of people rallied around her struggle'

Fahima expressed her pride in her daughter. She continued saying: "I am proud of my daughter, not because she is my daughter only, but because she fought for her people, and for the sake of her party. She imposed her presence through her struggle. Deniz was loved by everyone. Millions of people took to the squares for Deniz and pledged to step up her struggle."

Fahima noted that her daughter was arrested several times: "Despite the repeated arrests, she did not abandon her struggle. She and I were friends, as was her father. She was an active fighter who did not accept to do only one job. She becomes a Kurdish teacher, but unfortunately she was killed before she could achieve her dream.”

'I'm proud of her'

She also added: "During her life, she was striving to achieve new things. She joined the artistic and folkloric activities and groups. She always sought success. She wanted to be a role model for all in the struggle. She always said that a person should not be satisfied with just one work, he should participate in the struggle everywhere. I am proud of her, there are thousands of Deniz on this geography."

Fahimah noted that the crime was a conspiracy, because the criminal knew the dates of the meetings in the party building, and the criminal was trying to commit a massacre.

At the end of her speech, the martyrs' mother thanked everyone who participated in Deniz's funeral ceremony: "The Kurdish people are loyal to their children, Deniz is now the daughter of all peoples."
