In footsteps of blonde goddess, her two comrades
Seven years ago, Turkish intelligence assassinated of one of the founders of the women's liberation struggle, and the Kurdistan Workers' Party, Sakina Cansiz "Sarah", in the French capital Paris, and the representative of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) Fidan Dogan " Rojbin", and the member of the Kurdish Youth Movement in Europe, Laila Shaylmez, Ronahi.

'It was neither the first nor the last'
In Paris, known as the city of the sun, the three female fighters who adored women's freedom were targeted by dark forces, and this massacre was neither the first nor the last against women as well as the female activists Hiboun Mulla Khalil, Zahra Barkal, Amina Muhammad Weissi, and many other militants, and perhaps there are thousands of women in the occupied territories who did not even know any information about their deaths.
Commander Abdullah Ocalan, who was detained in Imrali prison, said about the Paris massacre that it was the "second Dersem massacre," and noted that it was carried out with a conspiracy plan with the support of the CIA and the Washington-led Claudio organization, and the murder of the murderer Omar Kony before the trial confirms that there are many parties that do not You want the truth to appear.
'A new generation on their path'
Following the massacre, their struggle did not end. Rather, the children were named after the female fighters and their pictures decorated corners of the houses alongside the pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and revenge units that were also named after them were established, and the number of female fighters will increased.
As we publish this article, the names of the female fighters remain immortal forever.
'A revolutionary life was for me a poem'
Since my childhood, I have been living the fantasies and hopes of the revolution, imagining myself how I would become a majestic free guerrilla fighter for a new life for society, and what woman would be.
'Resistant and rebellious like Dersem'
The blonde goddess, the heroine of mythical life, was an eyewitness to previous brutal massacres, in which thousands of women were killed, brutally tortured, raped, kidnapped and thrown off the cliffs. Cansiz is the eldest daughter of her parents, who survived the massacre.
She was born in 1958 in the village of Takhti Khalil in Dersem, and the brutality of the Dersem massacre was subjected to was a cry for rebellion for her.
Cansiz is a symbolized resistance against all forms of injustice, when young, her anger was growing whenever heard stories of the massacre from her family, and when she began attending school, she discovered many contradictions, and was convinced eventually that there is something wrong.
During the study period, she was beloved and admired by her teachers and her society. She always protected and helped her 2 sisters and 4 brothers and due to the difficult financial conditions of the family, she accompanied her father traveled to Germany, and when 14, but she did not bore to live far from her homeland, therefore she returned to Dersem with her father.
Getting acquainted with the Kurdistan revolutionaries, her life changed, and she read many books, research and studies, and later she began working on organizing women.
'not give up'
In 1978, she participated in the first founding conference of the PKK alongside the leader Abdullah Ocalan, Kasira and Jamil Bayik, and in her book, she described this meeting that was held in the village of fays as a historical, "I was full of enthusiasm, I was silent but happy." An avant-garde fighter of the Kurdish women's movement, and as a result of intelligence information, she was arrested in the Aziz family and subjected to brutal torture. After staying for a period in the prisons of the Aziz and Malatya families, she was transferred to Amed prison, which she likened to "Nazi concentration camps.
In prison too, she continued her legendary resistance and was subjected to the most brutal forms of torture. She was immortalized with a historical sentence: "They broke my ribs as a result of torture, and as a fighter, and as a woman, I shy away or groan because of pain." She did not stop the resistance, starting with the prison resistance when I spat in the face of the executioner. The happiest of my time, passing through the leadership square, and among the guerrilla, and then to the European cities, the march of freedom has continued.
Cansiz describes her parents as children of the Dersem massacre, and says that her mother greatly influenced her life's path of rebellion.
'Proud of my daughter'
Zeinab Cansiz, the mother of the fighter, says that she owes her daughter, and that she does not find herself worthy of saying "she is a still mother", but she proudly says, "I am proud of my daughter." My daughter was good and kind, she was doing well for the party, she loved her friends so much, and I loved her very much, in fact I miss her so much, you are my still will.
She continued her speech in Kurdish: “Greetings to all of you, may God protect you.” The sad and proud mother could no longer continue, so let's continue with her brother, who considers himself a friend.
Matin Cansiz, brother of a female resident, says: “I am always proud of her because she is my sister, and companion. They tried to force her to confess. Sometimes we lost hope, but her arguments in the court fill us hope again, and making us proud. She has always been a source of hope and light in our lives.
'If she had seen Rojava, she would have shouted,' We have won '
Since her early youth, she became acquainted with the liberation struggle, and she always dreamed of organizing women, and she was confident that this dream would come true someday, she had always believed in the necessity for women to lead the vanguard of the struggle, because she was confident, they would triumph And success is achieved, even if she witnessed the Rojava revolution and the pioneering role of women, then we are confident that she would scream and say, We have won. Accordingly we pay tribute to all of our people, especially our people in Rojava.
From Laila Kasim to Laila shailmez
History is a witness to the struggle of the female activists who are named after Laila. The struggle and the resistance have passed from generation to generation. Laila Qasim, Laila Wali Hassan, Laila shailmez, Laila Agri, and thousands of young girls who carry the name Laila, neither have they abandoned the resistance, nor the resistance abandoned them.
Laila Shailmez, was born in the same year of the Halabja massacre was committed itself, that is, in 1988, and she was named after Laila Qasim, who represents the memory of the resistance.
Her father says that his daughter deserved that name, as she is the third of eight children, from the Lajah sub-district in Amed, and comes from patriotic family, who was forced to emigrate to Mersin due to the displacement and burning villages by the Turkish state, while the family's migration began to Europe. When Laila was 8 years old, in Europe, she always longed for the homeland, home, and Kurdish spirit.
In 2008, Laila actively joined the youth activities, and after two years of among the youth, she joined the PKK in 2010, and after a while, Leila returned again to Europe, to assume important responsibilities.
At first we wanted to talk to her mother, Shafa Shailmez, but she apologized first, and said: “My daughter is a martyr, but what will we say to many women in Kurdistan who lost 5 martyrs’ sons, and what do we say to families who could not even see the bodies of their martyrs, At the very least, our daughter has a grave, which we sometimes visit "she concluded.
Let's get to know Laila from her father, Jumali Shailmez.
"It was our home flower"
Jumali says: “She was energetic and willing, following in the footsteps of Laila Qasim, and she asked a lot, and when her teachers said,“ There is no Kurdistan, ”she increased her research, as her contradictions increased in exile.
As a result, she started with research in folklore, as wanted. She was also proud, Laila was the rose of the house, she stayed for two years in the Free Mountains. Later she surprised us, carrying her mother on her back And, her mother was very afraid to leave the party, and when Laila understood this matter she said, "My mother will not do anything like this, I came to visit you."
In every Kurdish family, the sons are named after the martyrs, and this is done with attention and reflection, and in order for her mother to leave her mark on history, she named her granddaughter Laila, her father talks about the matter by saying: “When Laila left the house, my son’s wife was pregnant, and Laila's mother wanted to name Laila. On her granddaughter, when laila got informed about this, she sighed and said, "You called named her after me even before she was martyred." ".
After 8 years of her martyrdom, her mother continues to repeat the sentence that she said on the first day after the news of her martyrdom was reported: “Our martyrdom is not the first and it will not be the last either, but enough is how the Kurdish people are killed, the violations and the killers are known, when Kurds unite , these violations will stop. "
'Judge: The case is pending in the Turkish intelligence building.'
Leila's father, accompanied by 5 lawyers, the family of the martyr Sakina and the family of the martyr Fidan, went to the judge who was in charge of the case in the third year of their martyrdom, and when they asked her why the crime had not been revealed yet. The judge’s response was: “There are 14 cases on this table, we conducted investigations in these European countries, and all our investigations were suspended in the (MIT) Turkish intelligence building. "
He concluded his speech by saying, "Our daughter is our dignity," and said that his only dream is to one day celebrate Newroz Day with Leader Abdullah Ocalan in a free Kurdistan.
′ At the beginning of her life, she sought refuge in France, in answer to her people question ′
Fidan Dogan " Rojbin", is one of the three female fighters fwhom the massacre was committed against in Paris. She was born four years after the "Marash" massacre, which was committed in the village of Baton, in the Albistan district of Marash, on January 17, 1982, and she is the third daughter among the five boys of the family.′
Her family had to move to France due to her father's illness, when she was 9 years old, and she lived with her grandmother with two of her sisters. After she moved to the French city of Strasbourg, she completed her education there, and began searching to find answer for her question. Her research led her to the Kurdish Cultural Association, and then to the PKK.
Fidan joined the ranks of the youth movement in Europe, and in 2002, she became the representative of women in Paris within the Kurdistan National Congress, and undertook major tasks in the field of strategic research despite her young age. Her thought and constant research made her in the front rows of the struggle. In 2011, she developed herself is in the diplomatic field, as she was employed in the Kurdistan Information Office in Paris, and through her work and struggle in the diplomatic field, she was working to show the reality of the ongoing war in her homeland.
'She was teaching children in the village'
'She was constantly working and not betrayed'
Two weeks after her return from the village, Fidan joined the ranks of the PKK, and in 2012 she headed to the mountains of Kurdistan, and after 9 months she returned to Europe to continue her struggle, her mother says that Fidan used to visit them every then and now. She always told women to develop yourself, I loved her very much, I was angry with her sometimes, and I said when will her journey end with this bag ?, and she would answer herself by saying, "It will end when we liberate Kurdistan, then our journey will end." And she added, "My daughter has not betrayed her life, and she always struggled within the party".
Fatima Dogan said that she used to come home with her companions sometimes. One time the martyr Sakina Cansiz came with her, and she explained that Sakina told her, "Mum, you raised a young fighter, I love your daughter so much."
′ She wished to see little Rojbin ′
Mother Fatima spoke of Rojbin's little memories, and said, "Her sister was pregnant, and looking for a name for her baby, we were sitting in the kitchen, and suddenly I asked Rojbin," What are you going to call the newborn? " From that she wished to see the little Rojbin's death to the enemies, our eyes looking for her, a week before she was martyred, she came to the house, as if she did not want to go, but she went and did not return again.
'Looking for my beautiful daughter's eyes ′
Mother Fatima said that she dreamed of her daughter’s martyrdom, and added, “I and 3 women were walking a long road.” Two days later, I had another dream. "Then I woke up, and the next day I heard the news of Fidan's martyrdom.
I am still waiting for her to come, as if she will suddenly enter the house. "I am looking for the eyes of my daughter, those beautiful eyes, her curly hair, and her beautiful speech."
Mother Fatima, who is proud of her daughter's struggle, said, "She was martyred for the sake of the people, and pictures of Rojbin, Sakina and Laila still decorate the homes of honorable Kurds, and her companions are my daughters."
Sakina Cansiz's companions said, proudly, "We will continue political work in this country, which requires such boldness, to confront the enemy." We must not back down or leave the issue and the situation. Millions of women are walking on the path of Sakinah, and every one of them is Sarah, whether in prison, or In the mountains, and wherever there are enemies and occupation on this earth, there is a need for victory.
