Mazloum Abdi Affirms during meeting with parties efforts to guarantee Education in mother tongue

Syrian presidential adviser Mazloum Abdi and Commander of the Kobani Brigade Mahmoud Berkhadan met with leaders of Kurdish political parties in the Kobani region to discuss the latest developments regarding administrative and security integration, ways to guarantee education in the mother tongue, and the repercussions of the recent events that took place in the city.

Syrian presidential adviser Mazloum Abdi and Commander of the Kobani Brigade Mahmoud Berkhadan met today with leaders of Kurdish political parties in the Kobani region.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mazloum Abdi addressed the latest developments concerning the administrative and security integration files related to the Kobani region. He stated that the state is paying particular attention to the Kurdish issue and respecting the specific character of Kurdish cities in Syria.

The presidential adviser spoke about the efforts of the integration committees regarding education in the mother tongue, noting that they are working intensively with the relevant ministries to finalize the educational file in the region, while preserving the right to education in the mother tongue in schools in the Kurdish areas of Syria. He said: “We have sensed openness from President al-Sharaa in this regard. Education is going through a transitional phase, and we will build on the current decision in the future.”

Regarding the events that took place in the city of Kobani over the past two days, Abdi shared the results of his meetings and discussions with the security and administrative leadership in Kobani. He said that they are working with all relevant parties to verify the violations and actions that took place in the city, adding: “The results of the investigations will be shared transparently with the community. We are working to restore stability and security to the region, and all those responsible for these events will be held accountable.”

The attendees also discussed the recent events in the region and the pain experienced by the city over the past few days. They called for the protection of civilians and the preservation of the region’s stability. They also stressed the importance of unifying the Kurdish ranks and strengthening a unified position in confronting challenges and protecting the stability of the region.
