Turkey records high toll of Corona victims over past 24 hours

The Turkish Ministry of Health has announced that 107 deaths and 4,062 new cases of the Corona virus have been recorded in the last 24 hours, raising the deaths to 1,403 and the infections to 65,111.

The Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said that the confirmed cases of the Corona virus in Turkey increased by 4,062 during the past twenty-four hours, bringing the total number of the infected people in the country to 65,111 cases.

He pointed out that 107 new deaths were recorded, bringing the number of victims to 1,403.

The Minister said that 4,799 people have been recovered from the virus so far, and the number of tests conducted during the past 24 hours reached 33,070.

The failure of the Turkish government to confront the Corona virus caused the resignation of the Turkish Interior Minister, while opponents saw that this resignation is a play to cover up Erdogan's failure.

The increasing spread of the Corona virus is an issue of concern for the situation of thousands of prisoners who live in the Turkish prisons amid the Turkish government's neglect of the international calls.
