Autonomous Administration of al-Jazeera congratulates Yezidi New Year

This came through a statement issued by the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of al-Jazeera region on the occasion of coming the Yezidi New Year's Day, and it said in the statement:

"Each year, the Yezidi community and the free world celebrate the Yezidi New Year (Red Wednesday) which falls this year on the 15^th of April. This day is like the day of the resurrection of the creation, the beginning of life, the formation of the Earth and the living things in it, in addition to the deployment of good from the east to the west according to the Yezidi belief.

At a time when the world is going through very difficult circumstances facing the Corona pandemic which has confused many alleged empires, we still witness on a daily basis a lot of violations of human rights by the arrogant and occupying powers of our lands without having the slightest sense of responsibility in considering with the world how to face this epidemic and secure the human life and the health security.

 On this occasion and at a time when we bless and congratulate the Yezidi brothers and sisters on the Yezidi New Year (Red Wednesday), we thank our people with all its spectra and societal strata for their commitment to the decisions of the Autonomous Administration and its security and health institutions in applying the principle of social detachment to prevent this virus from reaching the regions of the Autonomous Administration, which we consider an expression of the sophistication in the level of societal awareness that our people possess, and we all hope that the occasion will usher in the good for peace, harmony and coexistence among the peoples of the region with all components and spectra."
