Residents of Girgê Legê, Dêrik donate for Afrin people
The donation campaign continues for Afrin residents, in Dêrik area and the outskirts of Girkê Legê, Çilaxa and Tal Koçer.
QAMISHLO - Within the framework of donation campaign organized by the institutions of Democratic Society Movement, the relevant committees on Tuesday sent a quantity of supplies, foodstuffs and money.
The donations that were sent today included quantities of mattresses, blankets, quantities of household items and foodstuffs.
The supervisors of the campaign said that the amounts of donations sent today to the center of Qamishlo canton work to organize an aid convoy and sent to the areas of al-Shahba where residents of Afrin who were displaced from their villages and homes.
The campaign began ten days ago, with municipal members, the neighborhood council and the town councils organizing tours of the city and villages to collect aid for Afrin residents.
Today, on Tuesday the third batch of aid donated by the people of Dêrik and its countryside was sent. While those in the People Council confirmed the continuation of the campaign.
