Roj News quoted local sources that the Turkish army fully occupied the villages of Karkan and Berivkan in the Barwari Bala area of Dohuk in S. Kurdistan. It has erected military posts and checkpoints in its vicinity.

According to the agency, residents of villages seeking to leave are required to present passports.

In its ongoing attacks on S. Kurdistan, Turkey aims to occupy the area with the participation of KDP forces, taking advantage of the Iraqi silence.

For this reason, the Turkish occupation army has recently brought thousands of soldiers, armored vehicles, tanks and cannons, and continues to destroy villages on a daily basis.

The attacks are met with great resistance from the People Defense Forces in the defense areas of the city, where the HPG eliminated 46 soldiers of the Turkish occupation army, through 185 operations during June.
