On the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Women's Media Union (YRJ), celebrated on June 28, an event was held at the media building in Qamishlo attended by dozens of female journalists from NE Syria.

After a minute of silence and a visual presentation introducing the Women's Media Union YRJ, the spokesperson for the Women's Media Union, Arin Swed, spoke and remembered all media martyrs, including foremost among them martyr Şevin Bingöl. She explained that since the establishment of Kurdish media until now, 100 journalists have been martyred in Kurdistan and 28 journalists in NE Syria  in order to show the truth and convey the voice of the revolution.

Arin Swed emphasized that female journalists, with their free pens and resistance against occupation and authoritarian attacks, demonstrate sacred struggle. She continued, saying, "We will continue to show the voice and colors of the women's revolution forever, and we will remain committed to following this path."
