Lighting Nowroz flame in Manbij canton

Today, hundreds of people from Manbij Canton in NE Syria headed to Touq al-Khalil Mountain in the southern countryside of the Canton, to participate in the Newroz 2024 celebration
The celebration square was decorated with the slogan of Newroz 2024, “Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan, the political solution to the Kurdish issue,” and pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and pictures of the martyrs were hung
Hundreds of people from Manbij, Kurds, Arabs and Armenians, participate in the celebration, each with their own style, wearing their traditional costume.
The celebration began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, and then the mothers of the martyrs in Manbij canton lit the Nowroz flame to the sound of popular songs, and chanted “There is no life without the leader.”
