Arab tribal sheikhs: We will light flame of Nowroz together to announce new stage of struggle

Today, the notables and sheikhs of the Arab clans in the Çil Agha district of Jazera Canton made a statement to public opinion, in which they blessed all components on the Newroz holiday, which falls on March 21 of each year.

The statement was read in front of the office of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the center of Çil Agha, by the sheikh of the Arab Zubaid tribe and a member of the notables Body in NE Syria, Ragheb al-Faris. Amid the participation of many notables and sheikhs of Arab tribes in the district.

The statement blessed "the people of NE Syria, with all its components, on the advent of Newroz, the holiday of uprising and resistance against injustice, slavery and exploitation, which began from the resistance of Kawa al-Hadad to the Kawa of the oppressed era, Mazloum Dogan, who resisted against injustice to illuminate with the flame of Newroz the path of the resistant and oppressed peoples."

The statement called on all components, especially the Arab component, to participate with momentum in the Nowroz 2024 celebrations, and to join hands to thwart all plans aimed at breaking their solidarity and achieving a democratic Syria based on the project of the democratic nation and the brotherhood of peoples.

The statement stressed, "We will light the flame of Nowroz together to announce a new phase of escalation of the struggle until the physical freedom of leader Ocalan, who represents our freedom, is achieved."

The statement ended with the participants chanting, “There is no life without the leader,” and “Long live the brotherhood of peoples.”
