Residents of the Alyan area in the countryside of the city of Jil Agha affirmed that the current stage requires a unified Kurdish stance and a shared vision to confront the political and security challenges facing the Kurdish cause in Rojava. (Photos and video attached).

Forcibly displaced residents of Afrin demanded a safe and immediate return to their city, stressing that their bond with Afrin is not merely a geographical affiliation, but represents their identity and history. They emphasized that their will is strong and that they are determined to live with dignity and peace. (Photos and video attached).

A Syrian politician stated that the democratization of Syria would contribute to resolving all crises in a sustainable manner and would help enhance acceptance among Syria’s components through a constitution based on popular legitimacy and the recognition of political forces. He praised the experiences of North and East Syria, which have succeeded in bringing components closer together and in understanding the nature, history, and reality of Syria. Fatima Haj Mahmoud, a young woman who survived the Kharab Ashk massacre, recounted details of the massacre committed by factions of the Interim Government backed by the Turkish occupying state. She affirmed that what happened to them is part of the massacres perpetrated against the Kurds, and that the amputation of her legs will not stop her from continuing her education. She stated that she will pursue a degree in law, in accordance with her parents’ wishes, so that she can in the future defend the rights of the Kurdish people. (Photos and video attached).

Since mid-January 2026, regions of Rojava have been subjected to attacks by factions of the Interim Government supported by the Turkish occupying state. These attacks were accompanied by the deliberate cutting of electricity and water to Kobani and the Jazira canton following the sabotage of the Euphrates and Tishrin dams and the Jibsa power station. This has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, coinciding with a complete siege imposed on Kobani since 20 January. (Photos and video attached).

The Council of Martyrs’ Families is organizing an absentee funeral ceremony for Internal Security Forces member Kenas Hussein Ali (Zilan Tekoshin), who was martyred on 9 January during the resistance in Sheikh Maqsoud. The ceremony will be held at Ras al-Ain Camp in the countryside of Hasakah at 10:00. (Photos and video attached).
